Disney Infinity 2.0 & Marvel Heroes announced!

We just got a super exciting announcement in regards to both the Marvel Universe, and Disney Infinity at Disney's live press conference!

Disney announced "Disney Infinity 2.0: Marvel Super Heroes" which they referred to as the new "2.0 Edition", which will be available later this year, during the Fall.

They also showed off the character roster, which includes Nick Fury, Captain America, Iron Man, the Hulk, Black Widow, Hawkeye, Thor, Groot and Rocket Racoon from Guardians of the Galaxy, and Spider-Man and the Green Goblin.

That's not all though, since they also showed off MODOK and Loki as well as villains! What's interesting though is that they made to sure say that "what you're seeing here today is only the beginning, there's more to come".

They also confirmed that the characters, toy boxes, the power disks and even the player pads from Disney Infinity 1.0 will be compatible with Disney Infinity 2.0, for player convenience.

Disney Infinity 2.0 will be playable on PS4, Xbox One, as well as Wii U just like 1.0, among other platforms such as PC, iOS, Android, Xbox 360, and PS3.

Clark Gregg to Announce More Disney Infinity News Tomorrow?

According to a small Twitter slip up from the @AgentsofSHIELD Twitter account, we might be seeing some new Disney Infinity news tomorrow regarding the Marvel teaser we got a few days ago.

To make things better, apparently Clark Gregg (Agent Phil Coulson in the Marvel movies & SHIELD TV show) will be announcing the Marvel characters himself! On top of that too, they referred to the game as "Disney Infinity 2.0" again. Could we actually be getting a whole new Disney Infinity game, just like the Skylanders series releases new games?

Disney Infinity 2.0 - "Get Ready to Assemble!"

We just got our hands on a new Disney Infinity trailer the other day, but this one isn't just some character announcement, it may seem!

The trailer teases Captain America (which we assume would come along with the other Avengers as well), with his shield being tossed around all over the place and taking out one of the robots in the game. What is the most eye-catching part about the trailer though is the end screen...

The end-screen mentions something called "2.0 Edition". Does this mean that an entire new version of Disney Infinity will be released in stores, or could it mean that a new peripheral will be needed to play with the new characters? Whatever it means, let's hope we find out soon!
