Nintendo is planning to launch an affiliate program with YouTube. What this program will do is split advertising proceeds between the YouTube video made by a creator containing Nintendo content, and Nintendo. This was done because of the negative reception towards the Content ID system being used by Nintendo to claim Nintendo videos made by other creators, which would then take all of the proceeds made by that video and send them to Nintendo.
With this program it should be much easier for content creators to not only make money off of their videos (albeit half of what they'd normally be paid), but to get in touch with Nintendo in case something goes wrong. What are your opinions on the program? Leave us your thoughts in the comments!
