Nintendo Partnered with PDP to Create a Brand New Fighting Controller

Nintendo just announced today that they would be partnering up with PDP (Performance Designed Products) to create a newly designed controller for the Wii U in light of the upcoming Super Smash Bros. 4.

More specifically, they announced that they'd be creating "The Wired Fight Pad", a brand new line of classic controllers that are plugged into the Wiimote, meaning that this will also work on Wii titles as well.

An old controller PDP created back for the Wii.

They also shared that the controller would be taking inspiration from the Gamecube controller, a fan-favorite, and would come in different themes such as Mario, Yoshi, and Princess Peach. Whether we'll be seeing Zelda, Metroid, or maybe even F-Zero themed controllers is still yet to be announced. They also announced that the controller would go for $24.99 this holiday season.
